State of the Superintendency

AASA’s latest survey of superintendents disaggregated the past four years of data on longevity by gender. The findings included these:

• The majority of male and female superintendents nationwide are serving within their first through fifth years in their present position;


• Solid gains are evident in the longevity of females in the superintendency over recent years.
