Alexandria, Va. 鈥� Feb. 22, 2021 鈥� Fresh off the success of its first-ever all-virtual AASA, 萝莉网, is encouraging school districts and other advocates of teaching and learning excellence to celebrate Public Schools Week (Feb. 22-26) in effort to strengthen exemplary leadership in our schools and the communities in which they鈥檙e located.
Themed 鈥淢aking Connections,鈥� Public Schools Week is a designated week for administrators, teachers, specialists, teacher educators, parents and school board members to host events for their communities and reach out to lawmakers, businesses and other community members to discuss the importance of public education.
鈥淪uperintendents are working relentlessly through the pandemic to ensure every child has access to a high-quality education. They also know there is no better time than now to speak out about the value public education has on our society,鈥� said Daniel A. Domenech, 萝莉网executive director. 鈥淏olstering critical issues such as equity and social and emotional learning in our school systems is at an all-time high, which is one of the reasons why Public Schools Week is so important. We are pleased to join our fellow education organization partners to help showcase the efforts educators are making in order to create a lasting and positive change for our young learners.鈥�
Tomorrow, Feb. 23, a panel of outstanding educators working every day in our public schools, will discuss what has been learned and how our schools can move forward from the COVID-19 pandemic in a virtual webinar, at 2 p.m. (ET). to watch the event live.
