Shannon Torres
Shannon Torres is an accomplished law enforcement leader and the former Chief of Police of Keyport Borough Police Department in New Jersey, where she managed a departmental budget and approximately 50 employees serving over 7,000 residents in a diverse community.
With expertise in security operations and strategic planning, she has progressed through multiple leadership roles including Captain and Lieutenant, specializing in investigations and internal affairs. As Detective Sergeant, she served on the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, conducting critical investigations and forensic examinations to protect minors.
Torres graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration in 2024, maintaining a 3.95 GPA, and completed the Certified Public Management Program at Rutgers in January 2025. She served 7 years in the U.S. Army National Guard and actively participates in various law enforcement associations, including executive board positions. Her achievements include an Outstanding Leadership Award and commendation for cross-jurisdictional collaboration in solving violent crimes.
