Lennie Scott-Webber

“Dr. Lennie” is a globally recognized leader in environment-behavior research and its application to educational design. With a career that spans five continents, she has contributed to award-winning learning environments and served as a research consultant, designer, and keynote speaker. Dr. Lennie is the former chair of two design schools and the founding Director of Education Environments at Steelcase Learning. She is widely published in academic journals, a frequent keynote speaker, and a sought-after advisor to architectural firms and education-focused manufacturers. Her work centers on making research actionable—bringing evidence-based strategies into real-world learning environments to improve student outcomes. She currently serves as a Senior Fellow for the Design for Learning Co-Laboratory, a thought leadership initiative she founded, and is the Program Director for EdMarket’s ECLPS certification. Her academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Environment-Behavior Psychology, an M.S. in Interior Design with a minor in Gerontology and a cognate in Human Factors Engineering, and a B.F.A. in Fine Arts. In 2023, she received the David McCurrach Distinguished Service Award from EdMarket in recognition of her impact on the field.
